Privacy Policy

This policy describes how personal data is processed for the RollDate website and RollDate Events Pro.

Controller

The controller is Abramov Yevhen, trading as RollDate (“RollDate”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@rolldate.dev.

Paddle independently processes checkout and payment data as Merchant of Record under Paddle’s Privacy Policy.

Data we process

For Events Pro purchases and fulfillment, RollDate processes:

customer name and email, as provided through Paddle checkout;
Paddle customer and transaction identifiers;
entitlement, license metadata, and hashed download-access records;
payment confirmation and fulfillment status, including whether a license email was sent;
support communications sent to support@rolldate.dev;
ordinary hosting and security logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps) from the website and APIs.

RollDate does not store payment-card numbers, CVV, or full card details. Those are handled by Paddle.

The signed license identifies the customer and transaction as needed to verify the purchase.

Processors and services

Paddle — checkout, payment, taxes, receipts, refunds and chargebacks.
Vercel — website and API hosting.
Neon — database for customers, transactions, entitlements, licenses, download records, payment-confirmation events and email-delivery records.
Cloudflare R2 — private storage of Events Pro packages; downloads are issued as short-lived signed URLs.
Resend — transactional email for license delivery and purchase recovery.

Service providers may process data in other countries using applicable contractual or other safeguards. Paddle’s processing of checkout and payment data is described in Paddle’s Privacy Policy.

Purposes

We use this data to:

complete purchase fulfillment after Paddle confirms the transaction;
deliver the license and a secure download link;
issue time-limited downloads and recover a purchase to the checkout email;
detect abuse, fraud and security incidents;
answer support requests;
meet legal, tax and accounting duties that apply to RollDate or to Paddle as Merchant of Record.

Lawful bases

Depending on the activity and your location, we rely on:

performance of a contract, to fulfill a purchase, deliver the license and downloads, and recover access;
legitimate interests in operating a secure website, preventing abuse and providing support;
legal obligations that apply to a purchase, dispute, tax or accounting record.

Retention

Retention depends on license fulfillment, recovery, security, disputes and legal obligations. Purchase, entitlement and license records are kept for as long as they are needed for those purposes. Hosting logs are kept for ordinary security and debugging. You may ask us what we hold.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:

access personal data we hold;
correct inaccurate data;
request deletion;
restrict processing;
object to processing;
receive data in a portable form;
withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent;
complain to a competent supervisory authority.

Not every right applies in every jurisdiction or to every record. We may need to keep information required for a purchase, refund, chargeback, security incident or the law. Payment, receipt and card questions should go to Paddle, because Paddle is Merchant of Record.
